"Mommy, she's really pretty."

It is amazing how much a simple compliment from a four year old can turn your whole day around. It was one of those days where I just didn’t feel super cute. I had gotten ready in a hurry that morning and wished that I could just get ready all over again to improve my appearance. I was at work sweeping up the hair from the floor after finishing one of my clients. I heard the voice of a little girl telling her mother “Mommy, she’s really pretty.” I looked around to see who she was talking about and saw her staring at me. She quickly looked away when I looked over at her as if embarrassed by what she had said. Her mother turned around and told me that her daughter thought I was very pretty. The little girl then turned around and confirmed what her mother had told me. I talked to her for a little bit and thanked her for her compliment before I walked away smiling. She had just made my day.
